The Order of Capuchin Friars Minor (OFM Cap) is a religious order which seeks to live the Gospel in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. The Capuchin movement began in Italy in the 16th century, and today there are nearly 12,000 friars worldwide. The Capuchins follow the Rule of St Francis according to the Capuchin Constitutions. They are a reform of the Franciscan movement, whose way of life was approved in 1528. The essence of the reform was to recapture the simplicity of the charism of Francis, with a focus on contemplative prayer, penance. They are rendering their services to the islands since the year 2002. They are into pastoral and social work.

The Salesians of Don Bosco, are an international organization of men dedicated full time to the service of young people, especially those who are poorer and disadvantaged. Founded by St. John Bosco, an Italian saint-educator of the nineteenth century, they are found in 128 different nations. ‘Youth Resource Development’ through education and evangelization is the main focus of their concern. They began their ministry in Andamans in the year 1996. They take care of the parishes and are involved in social ministry. They run a Non-Formal Technical School.

The Society of Jesus, more commonly known as the Jesuits, is a society within the Roman Catholic Church that was founded by Ignatius of Loyola in 1540 and instituted by Pope Paul III. The Jesuit society demands four vows of its members: poverty, chastity, obedience to Christ, and obedience to the Pope. The purpose of the Jesuits is the propagation of the Catholic faith by any means possible.They are working in the islands since 1987. They take care of the parishes. One priest is a spiritual guide primarily for priests and sisters working in the diocese.

Society of the Missionaries of St. Francis Xavier, Pilar (S.F.X.) commonly referred as Society of Pilar or Pilar Fathers, is a Roman Catholic seminary (Society of Apostolic Life) founded on 26th September 1887 by Rev. Fr. Jose Mariano Bento Martins in Pilar, Goa. They are pioneers of the Mission of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They are working here since 1965. They looked after the entire ministry of the 'Mission – A & N Islands' until such time when the diocese was created. Their contribution to elevate this mission into a diocese is to be remembered with gratitude. They take care of the parishes. They run educational institutions, assist the Bishop in animating various lay associations and Diocesan Commissions.
